An important year

At 27 years old and in his seventh season with Ferrari, Charles Leclerc is undoubtedly at the peak of his competitive maturity. Even his rivals recognize him as one of the fastest drivers in the paddock, and the mere eight victories he has achieved so far do not fully reflect his immense talent. But Charles Leclerc has committed to Ferrari and is more determined than ever to bring world titles back to Maranello, which have been missing since 2007 for drivers and 2008 for constructors.
2025 will be a crucial year for Charles, who will have a champion of Lewis Hamilton’s caliber by his side, with whom he hopes to return the Prancing Horse to the top.

“I feel like the best version of myself, adding something new each time. Last year, I found consistency—we didn’t waste points or opportunities,” Charles Leclerc emphasized in his lengthy interview with La Stampa, highlighting: “Instinct is my strength in a sport where everything is predicted, but at times, it has also been my weakness. I’ve worked on it a lot.”

On his partnership with Lewis Hamilton, he explained: “I promise we will do everything to bring back the drivers’ title. But whatever happens in the first GP, we need to stay calm, as 2024 showed. I can’t wait to compete with Lewis on equal terms on track. My dream is to bring Ferrari back to the top. It’s an obsession.”

Charles Leclerc took the media attention on his teammate with a philosophical approach: “He arrives as a legend, and I completely understand the external anticipation. But within the team, everything is normal—Ferrari is bigger than any driver.”

He concluded with Fred Vasseur’s recommendations: “Having gotten to know Lewis, I have no doubt that our relationship will remain excellent. He knows how to separate what happens on track from what happens off it. Fred Vasseur has reminded us that between the two red cars, we need to be careful, but beyond that, we can do whatever we want.” – the Monegasque driver added.
