Unlike the traditional format, the Sprint format includes a shorter race on Saturday that is independent of the main Grand Prix on Sunday. The Sprint format now has separate qualifying sessions for the Sprint race and the main race, ensuring that each race has its own grid-deciding session.
The weekend kicks off with Free Practice 1 on Friday afternoon, allowing teams to gather crucial data and fine-tune their setups. Later that evening, Sprint qualifying will determine the starting grid for the Sprint Race on Saturday. This session is critical as it sets the tone for the rest of the weekend.
