Brembo, from F1 to MotoGP, through WRC and Formula E: 2024, a record-breaking year. Brembo achieves a remarkable milestone in 2025.

F1, a 2024 to remember

In 2024, Brembo once again celebrated a haul of world titles. The company reaffirmed its leadership in motorsport, closing a year full of achievements and victories. Starting with the pinnacle of racing, Formula 1, Brembo achieved success in all 24 grands prix of the season, securing the Drivers’ Championship with Max Verstappen’s Red Bull and the Constructors’ Championship with McLaren. Both MCL38 cars, driven by Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, were equipped with braking systems from AP Racing, the Coventry-based company that is part of the Brembo group.

This record adds to Brembo’s historic dominance in F1: since 1975, the braking technology leader has achieved 531 victories in 851 grands prix, winning a total of 64 world championships, including 30 Drivers’ and 34 Constructors’ titles. But Brembo’s 2024 success wasn’t limited to Formula 1. Other prestigious victories—69 titles in total—came from the three MotoGP categories, Superbike, Rally championships, and Formula E, not to mention triumphs in the WEC and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, won by the Ferrari 499P.

Brembo, dominance on two and four wheels

In MotoGP, for the ninth consecutive year, all riders in the category—including world champion Jorge Martin and his rival Pecco Bagnaia, who also used Marchesini wheels, another Brembo group company—chose the braking systems of the Stezzano-based firm. Titles were also secured in Moto2 with Ai Ogura and in Moto3 with David Alonso. Further successes came in the World Superbike Championship, with Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu claiming his first title aboard the BMW M 1000 RR.

Returning to four wheels, Brembo’s excellence supported Thierry Neuville on his journey to his first career title in the WRC, driving the hybrid Hyundai i20 N. From the rugged terrain of the Rally Championship to the (often urban) circuits of all-electric races, Brembo, for the sixth consecutive season, equipped all Gen3 cars in the Formula E World Championship in 2024, as well as the electric Ducatis in the FIM MotoE Championship. Since 1975, the total number of world titles has now surpassed 700.
