The 2023 Formula 1 season has just concluded, but Scuderia Ferrari is already planning the start of the next championship. The 676, the project code for the 2024 Ferrari F1 car, is in the works at the Racing Division, while aerodynamic development continues in the wind tunnel. Within the Maranello team, there is a sense of optimism, although, after the bold statements of last year, the external approach is very low-profile.
While Fred Vasseur’s Christmas lunch with F1 journalists was confirmed on December 15, the team principal’s staff is planning the start of the 2024 Formula 1 season. The idea is to unveil the seventieth Prancing Horse single-seater on Tuesday, February 13, at Fiorano, following the template of last year with the presentation and a brief on-track debut.
Then, a useful day to verify all the parts in the workshop, and on February 15, it would be the turn of the first filming day with the two drivers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, engaged in commercial shoots but also to assess the new project overseen by Enrico Cardile.
From next year, the FIA will allow covering 200 km instead of the usual 100 during filming days, providing an opportunity to gather data on the car before it is shipped to Bahrain for the winter tests scheduled in a single session from February 21 to 23, just before the opening GP of a championship that will feature a record 24 races.

Each team will try to secure a date on the calendar, hoping to avoid overlaps in presentations, risking sharing media visibility with others on such an important day for sponsors and investors. The Scuderia has not yet set a firm date, as there is still the possibility of a shift of a couple of days at most.
There is a clear intention to delay the release of the new car for as long as possible to avoid revealing technical solutions to the competition. In line with tradition, Ferrari will unveil the car that will compete, perhaps without the latest aerodynamic updates planned for Bahrain.
