In interviews at the end of the Brazilian Grand Prix, Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc spoke in a heartbroken tone to the media, accepting the hypothesis, already popular on social media, of taking a trip to Lourdes to ward off the bad luck that seems to be haunting him this Formula One season.
On the other hand, he has scored zero points in two of the last three races, and none of them his fault, weigh heavily on morale. His comments were then reported in the main Italian newspapers, which in turn ended up in press reviews on television. A copy of a newspaper ended up in the hands of Rosario Fiorello, who did not miss the opportunity to laugh about the incident on his “Viva Rai 2” program.
Reading the headline in “La Repubblica” which read: “Charles Leclerc is desperate, all I have left is Lourdes”, the comedian said: “Our Lady told him to come, but to bring an autograph from Verstappen”. “They don’t even let him enter Lourdes”, echoed Francesco Totti, who took part in the show as a guest. The two then continued their argument, with the Sicilian declaring, looking at the player: “Going out in the training lap is like getting hurt during the warm-up” “No, when you’re on the bus”, replied the former captain of AS Roma
