Orange blossoms for Gina Schumacher, the daughter of the seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, who will tie the knot this summer with her boyfriend Ian Bethke. As with all weddings where preparations are started well in advance, based primarily on personal desires and will, this one is no exception. In this case, however, when it came time to choose the location, for Gina, the priority seems to have been her father Michael and his fragile health conditions due to the tragic skiing accident in the French Alps ten years ago.
Will Michael be there?
According to German media, the wedding villa will be heavily fortified, allowing Michael to be by his firstborn’s side on such a special day. The estate is located in Spain, on the hills of Port d’Andratx, near Palma de Mallorca, and is owned by the Schumacher family. In fact, it was purchased by Schumi’s wife, Corinna, in 2018, from the current president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez. The villa has obviously been adapted to the needs of the 7-time world champion, as if it were a kind of private clinic, since Michael requires constant medical assistance.
The same German media that reported the wedding news do not have plausible elements to say with certainty that Schumi currently lives there. And that he will somehow be present at the celebration. The news is something everyone hopes for, especially because the environment and mild temperatures would allow the Kaiser to attend and experience the event in the best possible way. Although there is nothing certain and official, what is certain is that the family will do everything possible to ensure that Michael is by his daughter Gina’s side.
