Benedetto Vigna’s appeal for Ferrari in 2025: “lmportant to stay grounded”. Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna is aware of the collective euphoria.

Benedetto Vigna, Ferrari CEO

At Ferrari, enthusiasm is soaring for the new season, with Lewis Hamilton joining the team and hopes high for a world title that slipped away in 2024 only in the final race. Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna is aware of the collective euphoria and is focused on keeping the team’s concentration high. The Italian manager is nevertheless satisfied with the work done so far and does not miss the chance to thank the team.

Stay grounded

Ferrari’s CEO met journalists in Milan during the launch of the new partnership with Unicredit. When asked about his thoughts on the upcoming season, Benedetto Vigna responded without hesitation: “Keep the wheels on the ground. We’ve done good work in the Scuderia. However, it’s important to stay grounded, learning from mistakes, which we will make. If you’re not making mistakes, it means you’re not innovating, not trying anything new. The important thing is to recover from them.”

The head of Ferrari displayed a shift in communication style. Benedetto Vigna’s words are far from those at the 2023 launch, where he described the new car as unprecedented in speed—a statement followed by a season of great challenges for Ferrari. The CEO’s new cautious tone, however, is not a sign of a lack of confidence in the team. On the contrary, Vigna revealed that he had personally thanked the team even before last year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, expressing his satisfaction with their work regardless of the final outcome.

The culture of change

During the press conference held at Unicredit’s Milan headquarters, Vigna also spoke extensively about the internal cultural renewal within the team. Specifically, the CEO fully embraces the importance of accepting change, a message promoted on social media by Lewis Hamilton at the start of the new year. Benedetto Vigna urged the team to take inspiration from Lewis Hamilton: “At 40, he changes and puts himself to the test in a different culture because Latin and Anglo-Saxon cultures are different. It’s wonderful not to fear change.” – the Ferrari chief executiv officer concluded.
