Goodbye Ferrari Trento: Moet & Chandon returns to F1 for podium celebration. Moet & Chandon has reached a new agreement with F1 starting this year.

A toast to a great comeback
2025 will mark the 75th anniversary of Formula 1, a sport that, for most of its history, has seen its drivers celebrate on the podium with Moët & Chandon champagne. Founded in 1743 by Paul Chandon-Moët and his cousin, Count Frédéric Chandon de Briailles, the luxury champagne brand entered the Circus as early as 1950, following Juan Manuel Fangio’s victory in the French Grand Prix, with its bottles reserved for F1’s greatest champions for most of the seasons.

Farewell to Ferrari Trento
In recent years, however, Ferrari Trento had become Formula 1’s official champagne—at least until the recent decision by the Circus to return to its historic partnership with Moët & Chandon. “The tradition of toasting on the podium is one of the most iconic moments in our sport, and we are thrilled to welcome Moët & Chandon back as the Official Champagne of Formula 1,” said Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1. “This partnership celebrates the history, excitement, and excellence that connect Formula 1 and Moët & Chandon in a perfect blend of performance and sophistication in a truly special year as we celebrate our 75th anniversary. The return of Moët & Chandon to the podium further strengthens our innovative partnership with LVMH (the French luxury goods group) and we look forward to toasting together to this extraordinary collaboration.”

More than just champagne
Moët & Chandon’s return is not limited to the podium. In 2025, the champagne house will also take on another role as the Title Partner of the Belgian Grand Prix. “We are honored and excited to once again be the Official Champagne of Formula 1, celebrating a shared history of collective triumphs and dedication since the 1950s,” added Sybille Scherer, President and CEO of Moët & Chandon. “We honor the extraordinary teamwork, boundless precision, and pursuit of excellence that drive motorsport and our craft. This partnership is a tribute to the unity and shared successes of inspiring drivers, their dedicated teams, and the global community that rallies behind them. As Moët & Chandon returns to the podium, we proudly continue to create moments of celebration for all those engaged in this incredible journey.”
