An auction to remember Michael Schumacher. Do you remember the Ferrari F310? The single-seater, built for the 1996 Formula 1 Championship, allowed the German to win three races that year.
It was a Ferrari still in its early stages, which would, in a few years, initiate one of the most glorious eras of dominance in the history of F1.
Among the races won by Michael Schumacher that year was also the “home” one at Monza on September 8, 1996. Unforgettable was the reaction of the world champion. That leap on the podium became a characteristic of his future successes.
That front tire, which allowed the German driver to cross the finish line first, has been used by Mongrip. The Monaco-based brand, specializing in jewelry bracelets made from precious relics, has created the limited edition MZ96.
The special bracelet
There are 91 examples in a limited edition (91 as the Grand Prix victories by Michael Schumacher). It is an exclusive bracelet, to always have the sensation of that tire that allowed the multiple Formula 1 champion to win his first race at the Italian Grand Prix.
The bracelets are adorned with platinum inserts and seven diamonds (representing Schumi’s seven world titles) and come with a certificate attesting to their authenticity.
The first bracelet was auctioned by Bonhams starting on November 17 and will remain available for thirteen days. The first lot of 7 pieces can be purchased from 7:00 PM on December 7 on the official Mongrip website; the remaining ones, instead, will be available from December 9 through the brand’s official retailers in the Principality of Monaco.

The auction was made possible through the collaboration of Mongrip with the charitable foundation Keep Fighting Foundation, created by the Schumacher family.
A name that urges the legendary Formula 1 driver to “keep fighting.” A slogan that thousands of fans have been repeating for almost ten years, since that skiing accident that forever changed the history of Formula 1.
