While that is true, the team and drivers also made some costly mistakes, i.e. pitting Leclerc for Inters at Silverstone while the track was still dry and still keeping him out, even though he nearly lost a lap to the next car in front. Or both drivers screwing up their qualifying at Singapore.

On a different note, I wonder how Cardile and Newey will work together at Aston Martin. Their philosophies are so different, they must clash eventually, If they haven’t already. I don’t think Cardile will stay there for very long.
