Mohammed Ben Sulayem: early stop in Las Vegas for F1 GP and to support his friend Donald Trump. Mohammed Ben Sulayem has decided to arrive in Las Vegas well in advance of the GP.

In two weeks, Formula 1 will rev up its engines in Las Vegas for the third-to-last Grand Prix of the season. Ahead of the American race, FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem has decided to arrive in Nevada’s capital well in advance.

In recent days, the Emir has taken advantage of his time in Vegas to inspect the track, which received quite a few criticisms last year during its inaugural edition. Speaking about the circuit, Mohammed Ben Sulayem stated, “It was a pleasure to meet with Las Vegas Grand Prix CEO Renee Wilm and the person in charge of this circuit’s project, Terry Miller, in view of the upcoming race on this dazzling street circuit.”

Mohammed Ben Sulayem continued, speaking about the American elections and how his friend Donald Trump had won them: “Congratulations to Donald Trump on a hard-fought campaign. America has always been a pioneer in the automotive industry and continues to be a key growth area for motorsports. I look forward to seeing the President’s initiatives in these areas and to working alongside him to ensure a strong future for motorsports and for American and global mobility.”

The President of the International Federation had previously faced significant criticism, both for supporting the new President of the United States and for having blocked the approval of the Las Vegas circuit before its debut in 2023. However, only a year later, it seems that everything has been resolved, with the FIA head eagerly awaiting to see the Formula 1 cars racing down the city’s Strip. The USA is the only country in the world where the category races more than twice a year, and in the future, the sport is determined to further penetrate the American market.
