McLaren and Verstappen were above everyone else. Great job by Kimi, who drove like a veteran. Sauber ahead of Ferrari is unthinkable. The Reds completely lacked performance and even struggled somewhat with strategy—an absolutely disastrous start to the season.” – the Italian pointed out.

The former Scuderia member also acknowledged McLaren’s dominance: “Norris won convincingly, although Max was too close considering McLaren’s superiority. Mercedes had a very good race, but they are still missing some performance to challenge Max and McLaren,” Luigi Mazzola concluded.
