Confirmed: Bryan Bozzi to replace Xavi Marcos Padros as Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari race engineer. Xavi Marcos Padros will no longer be Charles Leclerc's race engineer.

With an announcement that came entirely by surprise, Ferrari has communicated that Xavi Marcos will no longer be Charles Leclerc’s race engineer.

“Scuderia Ferrari HP announces that starting from Monday, May 13, Xavi Marcos will contribute, with his significant experience gained in the Formula 1 team as a race engineer, to the development of other important company programs.”

With just three simple lines of communication, Ferrari has officially confirmed Xavi Marcos’s departure from the role of race engineer, with the Spaniard no longer serving as Charles Leclerc’s track engineer starting from the next race at Imola.

With a second announcement arriving a few minutes later, the Maranello team also officially announced Marcos’s replacement: “Scuderia Ferrari HP announces that Bryan Bozzi, currently Charles Leclerc’s Performance Engineer with ten years of experience in the team, takes on the role of Race Engineer starting from the Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix next weekend at Imola.”

Graduating in mechanical engineering from the University of Bath, Bryan Bozzi boasts decades of experience at Maranello, having taken office as R&D engineer for the wind tunnel in June 2012, a role held until November 2014.

The technician then received a promotion to Aero Track Group Engineer from the following month, holding the position until November 2018. In the last six years, he has worked as a performance engineer for the Monegasque driver, with Bryan Bozzi now taking on the same duties previously held by Xavi.

According to the announcement, Marcos will continue to work at Ferrari but no longer in the Formula 1 division, although the team has not yet disclosed what his new role will be.

Thus sadly ends the collaboration between Charles Leclerc and Xavi Marcos Padros, a partnership born in 2019 but which has garnered countless criticisms over the years from both insiders and especially from fans, who have never really embraced the directives.

it was only the matter of time because he was really annoying and not useful from time to time and his communication with Charles wasn’t really good and successful.
