Ex-Ferrari general manager feels Bernie Ecclestone is behind Toto Wolff FIA investigation. Peter Windsor has revealed an idea about who might be behind the Toto Wolff FIA investigation .

In recent days, the case involving Toto and Susie Wolff, at the center of an investigation by the FIA, has exploded. Yesterday, all the teams issued a statement distancing themselves from the incident, stating that they were not the ones to request this intervention. Now, Peter Windsor, former team principal of Williams and former Ferrari general manager in 1989, has revealed an idea about who might be behind all this.

Peter Windsor shares his thoughts on the Toto Wolff incident

In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Peter Windsor stated: “Some people, I’m not sure who, have said that there is no conflict of interest. I smell Bernie Ecclestone behind all this. The magazine where this appeared, Business F1, is a magazine with which he has always been friendly and to which he has dedicated stories or ideas. I’m not saying it for certain, but that’s the feeling. I think Bernie would like to do it.” – the former Ferrari general manager pointed out.

Indeed, behind the request for an investigation forwarded to the FIA, there seems to be none of the current team principals in Formula 1, given the denials that came in yesterday afternoon. Even the accusations against Christian Horner circulating in recent hours have fallen after the Briton spoke out, stating that he was not the one to report the incident.

At this moment, however, the investigation initiated by the International Federation is ongoing, and we will see in the coming days how everything will unfold and what impact it will have on the 2024 championship and Formula 1.
