This victory was much more than another addition to Sir Lewis Hamilton’s impressive record. It marked his first win since that fateful day in December 2021, when an eighth World Championship slipped through his fingers due to a controversial decision by the Race Director. He not only conquered the unpredictable weather conditions but also triumphed over two of the fastest drivers in Formula 1 today – Max Verstappen of Red Bull-Honda and Lando Norris of McLaren-Mercedes. Oscar Piastri secured fourth place in the other McLaren-Mercedes, followed by Carlos Sainz’s Ferrari and a remarkable drive from Nico Hulkenberg in the Haas-Ferrari.
