Charles Leclerc reflects on second day of F1 testing in Bahrain: “Complicated day, difficult to draw conclusions”. Charles Leclerc commented on the second day of F1 testing in Bahrain.

The second day is also in the books. Eight hours before the end of F1 testing in Bahrain, Charles Leclerc commented on Day 2 and gave a first evaluation of the work done aboard the new Ferrari SF-25.

The Monegasque, just like on the first day, took over Lewis Hamilton’s seat in the afternoon, benefiting from a more rubbered-in track. Unlike his teammate, however, Charles Leclerc had the opportunity to chase performance with several qualifying simulations before focusing on a full race simulation.

Car number 16 finished the day in third place, behind Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz. However, these positions mean little at this stage, as the teams’ work programs and car configurations remain unknown.

Of course, completing the day without major issues is always a great starting point for teams that only have three days to prepare for an entire season.

Charles Leclerc’s assessment of Day 2
At the end of the second day of F1 testing in Bahrain, Charles Leclerc gave his first evaluation of Ferrari’s work. “Today was more complicated than yesterday,” the Monegasque told Ferrari’s official channels. “Temperatures were quite low, and the rain made everything more difficult.” – the Ferrari driver pointed out.

“We still managed to follow our work program. However, the weather doesn’t allow us to draw any significant conclusions from the data we collected. Now, we prepare as best as possible for the final day,” Charles Leclerc added.

Mac Laren away ahead. Even if Ferrari had more fuel and a lower mapping engine, cannot justify such a big difference in race simulations. Ferrari on pair with Merc maybe, but behind MacLaren. Red Bull hiding his game a lot as usual. Very good job from Williams in race sim.

Are Williams showing their full hand, is everyone else holding back too much or did Sainz really help that much with car development? They look rapid!

I think the C1 tire also was significantly slower than C2 on McLaren but McLaren definitely looks way too fast

19 February 2025 – Car reveal Ferrari shows the real deal.

Bahrain testing: its only testing guys, to iron out small niggling factors. We have a week or two before F1 season starts, the tracks will be the ultimate judge, remember updates can make a huge difference, then it becomes another story. Its to early to say, Mclaren/ Merc they fast, Ferrari or Redull, the off the pace, they or either slow. Remember Redbull won last year, even when they had their slump in form, anything is possible my fellow Ferrari brothers
