Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari, a passion ready to ignite: Nico Rosberg’s admiration. Lewis Hamilton dons Ferrari red and is ready to rekindle passion.

With the conclusion of the 2024 season and the start of a new year, the countdown to Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari debut has been underway for weeks. The 2025 season has piqued the curiosity of many in the industry, including #44’s former teammate Nico Rosberg, who shared his thoughts on the Briton’s new adventure.

Marked by many lows and few highs, Sir Lewis’s final season under Toto Wolff’s leadership offered little joy for the Stevenage champion. Now it’s time to turn the page and recharge for a new challenge. The arrival of the new year has taken Hamilton from Brackley to Maranello, where Sir Lewis is preparing to step into a Ferrari F1 car for the first time.

The union between the seven-time world champion and the Italian team is a landmark event for Formula One and for both parties. Ferrari secures a seasoned, hungry champion, while Lewis Hamilton revitalizes his competitive drive. Nico Rosberg, speaking to the Italian daily newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport,” shared his thoughts on the move to Ferrari’s headquarters on Via Abetone Inferiore.

Nico Rosberg: “Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari will reignite passion”
“Lewis is driven by a deep love for the sport and a desire to continue pushing his limits,” the 2016 Formula 1 world champion explained, speaking from personal knowledge of the Stevenage-born driver.

Having celebrated his 40th birthday during his first year in red, Lewis renews his ambitions. For Nico Rosberg, Hamilton’s decision to join Ferrari is both admirable and fascinating. “A change like the one he’s facing this year can reignite passion.” – the former Mercedes driver pointed out – “Lewis is already a legend,” the 2016 World Champion stated, “he has nothing to prove. But his choice shows the hunger of a man who wants to keep growing, both as a driver and as a person,” Nico Rosberg concluded with admiration.
