Today, Wednesday, January 3, 2024, Michael Schumacher turns 55, but the seven-time champion’s birthday is once again devoid of happiness and smiles. For ten years now, the former German driver has been continuing his battle to recover from a serious injury dating back to December 2013 when he fell from skis in the French resort of Meribel, hitting his head violently against a rock. After emergency hospitalization, the ‘Kaiser’ continues his treatments today at his home in Switzerland, but the family has always worked to ensure him complete privacy from prying eyes, so much so that even today his health conditions are not known.

Born in 1969 in Hürth, Schumacher is receiving thousands of birthday wishes from all over the world at this time, although the most special ones always come from Ferrari, with whom he won five consecutive world titles from 2000 to 2004. The message from Mercedes
Schumacher, who previously won two championships with Benetton in 1994 and 1995, retired from Formula 1 at the end of the 2006 season. However, in 2010, he decided to return for a second adventure, this time with Mercedes. Staying until 2012, precisely in this last championship, he achieved his last podium in his career at the European Grand Prix, finishing in 3rd place and also securing a pole position in Monte Carlo. However, due to a previous five-place penalty, the German could not start at the front of the grid.
