The Abu Dhabi stage of 2022 marked the end of Sebastian Vettel’s F1 experience: however, the German is now contemplating a sensational return.
The departure from Aston Martin and, with it, to F1 might have been just a “see you later” from the four-time world champion. The German revealed to German media the strong temptation that still draws him towards racing.
Sebastian Vettel is considering a return to racing, whether it be F1 or another category is still unknown. “I might come back, but I don’t know yet with what kind of car.”
The 1987-born driver from Heppenheim has never hidden, since his departure from Aston Martin, that he is still attracted to competition. “Racing is my passion; I’m very interested in it,” explained the 36-year-old, who raced for the Maranello team from 2015 until 2020.
To fuel the rumors of a possible return of Sebastian Vettel are the driver’s own statements. Reviewing the reasons for his retirement from Formula 1, the German admitted that it was not due to “tiredness” of his profession but other needs.
Among these reasons, family emerges, but not only: “It was a decision made for many reasons. At the moment, I am completely satisfied,” he argued.
Seeing Sebastian Vettel in some competition in the near future seems quite difficult, but who knows what might be in the works for 2025. “A return to racing can happen; it’s something I miss. When I’m at the track, it’s clear, it gives you chills. It’s not easy; you bite your lips,” the former Ferrari driver explained.
