However, the Formula 1 chief executive officer did not want to challenge Ferrari, which was his home for 23 long years: “I don’t want to get into the dynamics of the team, but I certainly want to wish them the best for the future. When you are second with Ferrari, it is a result that is not enough ”, Stefano Domenicali explained, in a recent interview in front of the Sky UK microphones.

However, Stefano Domenicali is convinced that, despite the change at the top management of the Ferrari Formula 1 Racing Division, the Maranello team could still be among the contenders for the 2023 Formula 1 title: “I hope they can find the right solution, because they have made a great recovery compared to two years ago. We need a competitive Ferrari with a good team, strong and with equally strong drivers to fight against others. I’m sure there will be more teams ready to fight for the win. The goal and the hope is to get to the last race with a good sporting fight on the track and all the premises are there.
