Mauro Forghieri was the engineer whose history is most linked to Scuderia Ferrari: not only the best designer of the Prancing Horse racing cars, but the best of the entire Formula 1. Mauro Forghieri, unlike those who excelled in specific chassis or engines, was able to create a race car completely from scratch.

He knew about engine, aerodynamics, chassis and consider that he also managed the pit wall and the race strategies. For over twenty years he was the pillar of the Ferrari racing department. With Mauro Forghieri, Scuderia Ferrari won 54 GP’s, four drivers’ world titles and seven constructors’ championships to which are added the successes in Endurance racing with sportscars.

A Brilliant mind, strong personality, flammable character. Furia, as he was nicknamed, was an innovator but above all an inventor.
