The Italian Grand Prix was the stage of Scuderia Ferrari German driver Michael Schumacher’s 6th win of the 2000 Formula 1 season. There were several things special about this particular victory for the Maranello team and for Michael Schumacher as it was in front of the adoring tifosi.

To understand why Michael reacted this way you have to remember that Michael highly respected Senna as a driver, you also have to remember that Michael was just a few seconds behind Senna when he had his accident at Imola. He saw Senna go off and hit the barriers. Nobody could even begin to describe the emotions he would be feeling here having just been told he had matched Senna’s race win record.
