A dream team at Ferrari
Despite being about to share a garage with a seven-time world champion, Charles Leclerc feels no reverence towards Lewis Hamilton.
The Monegasque, who has had an excellent season so far, with two victories, three pole positions, and nine podiums, is not afraid of competing against a true Formula 1 legend, who has decided to leave Mercedes in an attempt to win his eighth title at Maranello, which would crown him as the most successful driver of all time.
“I’m very curious to see what he’s done throughout his career to achieve all the success he’s had,” revealed number 16 in an interview with The Race, speaking about his future teammate.
“He has very few weaknesses, in fact, I don’t know of any. He’s an incredibly strong driver, always present, incredibly fast, and consistent.” – the Ferrari man explained.
“It will be very interesting for me to learn from Lewis, as well as to show what I’m capable of in the same car as Lewis. These two things motivate me a lot.”
“I’m not thinking about what the expectations are, because I just need to focus on what I have to do. I always prefer to focus much more on the process to try to achieve great things, rather than thinking about the big things first and then the process.”

Expanding on the topic, Charles Leclerc finally added: “Since I entered Formula 1, I’ve been very fortunate. Instead of thinking that I’d like to have a number two driver as my teammate, I’ve always thought it’s much better to have the best as a teammate.” – he pointed out.
“I’ve had very, very fast teammates who pushed me to move forward, and even with Lewis, I’ll learn a lot. Lewis is still incredibly fast. He’s still Lewis Hamilton. So, I don’t think he needs any advice from me.” – the Scuderia Ferrari driver concluded.
