In calling for Formula 1 to be more “transparent” about the case, Sebastian Vettel highlighted how much work still needs to be done in terms of how women are treated in the sport. “Formula 1 is changing, but in some ways, it’s an outdated sport,” Sebastian Vettel stated in an interview with Sky News. “There weren’t many women before, then the number increased. Since I started and since I left, there have been many more in the paddock. Not just following the sport, but also working within it.”

Sebastian Vettel believes Formula 1 is moving in the right direction and that “there is a positive change.” However, the German specified that this is not enough: “I believe that, as with all things, there is still room for improvement.” – the former Ferrari driver concluded.
